Dr. Phil Weight Loss Challenge
Dr.
Phil McGraw encourages weight loss by separating food
into two separate categories: high-response cost and low-response
cost. According to Dr. Phil, high-response cost foods
take time to prepare and eat, therefore they are not easily
accessible or available to eat immediately or uncontrollably.
Examples of high-response cost foods include meat, poultry,
fruit, vegetables, beans, whole grains and some cereals.
Low-response cost foods are easy to prepare and eat, and
makes you wanting to eat larger amounts in a quick fashion.
In addition to these two
categories, Dr. Phil separated
foods into two separate categories according to their
nutritional value: high-yield and low-yield. High-yield
foods provide a high level of nutrients relative to the
amount of calories. Low-yield foods are just the opposite.
The best combination of the four categories are high-response
cost, high-yield foods, which Dr. Phil says are hunger
suppressors that promote fast
weight loss. For more information, visit: www.drphil.com.
